      The Planning Process
   Is flexible and can be adapted to accommodate a 
   district’s and a school’s unique characteristics and 
   situation. 
   During the planning process it is critical that 
   schools work with their district staff and 
   community partners—local emergency 
   management staff, first responders, and public and 
   mental health officials-during the planning process.
