  What is an Interview?
    A somewhat formal discussion between a 
    hirer and an applicant or candidate, typically 
      in person, in which information is 
    exchanged, with the intention of establishing 
     the applicant's suitability for a position.
       Preparation
         •
             Do your homework
                – Job description, specification & advert
                      •  Essential criteria
                      •  List skills and qualities needed 
                      •  Relate these to your experiences
                      •  Know your own CV/portfolio
                – Learn about the company/organisation
                      •  Company website (and related sector/organisations)
                      •  Social media
                      •  Newspapers, magazines etc.
                      •  Speak to people within the company
                      •  Leaflets, brochures etc. 
                – Find out about the interview
                      •  Will you be given a tour?
                      •  Will you have to give a presentation?
                      •  Will you have to sit a test (written/practical)?
       Preparation (cont)
                – Think about the questions you might be asked
                      •  Related to the role
                      •  Think of personal examples 
                      •  Experiences you have demonstrated skills/qualities
                      •  Prepare and practice answers/presentation
                      •  Think of questions you would like answered
                – Route Planning
                      •  Know where you are going
                      •  How are you going to get there?
                      •  How long will it take you?
                      •  Practice run (if required) 
                – Day of the interview
                      •  Make sure you are rested
                      •  Get up early and make sure you are awake
                      •  Dress smartly and/or appropriately  
                      •  Confirm you know your route
                      •  Arrive 5 – 15 minutes early
