Response By: Date: Division of Health 6/28/2022 Services Yes, the mileage rate has increased to $0.585 effective January 2022. This applies to transportation costs, which are an unearned income deduction allowed in eligibility determinations for Healthy Horizons, Supplemental Security Income-related, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families/General Assistance-related and Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities categories of Medical Assistance. The current rate can be viewed on the United States General Services Administration website at http://www.gsa.gov/portal/category/104715. The mileage rates in MAEH 319.7, 360.2, 360.3, 361.2, and 361.3 will be updated to reflect the 2022 increase. This policy clarification obsoletes PMA 17839-319. 1
