BACKGROUND BACKGROUND - CST is a NGO registered in the United Republic of Tanzania - The organization is working to ensure children with disabilities and other marginalized children receive all support services essential to enable them to access quality education in an inclusive setting - CST is now working with more than 175 children at its inclusive Early Childhood Assessment, Learning and Development Center (ECALD) Children First CST’s Vision & Mission CST’s Vision & Mission VISION Tanzanian children and young people with disabilities and under privileged children are able to achieve their full potential and have access to equal rights in an inclusive society. MISSION To promote and raise awareness of the rights of children and young people with disabilities and under privileged children and to facilitate access to quality inclusive education. Children First CST’s Values, Motto & Slogan CST’s Values, Motto & Slogan We are committed to: -Valuing and realizing the potential of children and young people with disabilities and other under privileged children; - Principle of equality that applies to all; - Disability is not inability; - The social model of disability; - A community based approach. To develop and maintain a disability friendly school that offers quality inclusive education through professional teaching and support services. 2. Expand the size and reach of CST on a foundation of good governance, working in partnership with other stakeholders and through sustainable income generation. 3. To raise awareness and change perceptions of disability in the local community and to influence change in local government policies to mainstream disability issues.
