2. Open ArcToolbox, then look in:
Data Management Tools > Features .
Double-click on the “Check Geometry” tool.

3. In the Check Geometry window use the drop-down menu to
select the layer; in this example: practice_instance_polygon.

4. Accept the Output Table default location, and click on OK.

5. When the process is complete a notification will appear at the
lower right of you screen, and the table will appear at the
bottom of the Table Of Contents.

6. Right-click on the name of the table, and select Open. In this
example there are nine errors. The Repair Geometry tool will
be used to make corrections.
