Topical Outline • Unit 1: What is Forensic Science? • Unit 2: Types of Physical Evidence • Unit 3: Fingerprinting • Unit 4: Footwear Analysis • Unit 5: Hair and Fiber Analysis • Unit 6: Document and Handwriting Analysis • Unit 7: Fire Arms • Unit 8: Blood Spatter Analysis • Unit 9: DNA Evidence • Unit 10: Crime Scene Investigation Procedures (creation and investigation of a crime) Grading • Homework/classwork • Presentations (group) • Labs • *Crime Scene Project (creation, investigation, and analysis) * will be part of the final exam grade Lab Policies • Labs will be carried out either individually or with lab partner depending upon the activity. • Depending upon the lab, labs may be handed in for a group or individual grade. • Late policy- 50% credit for turning in a lab the day after it is due.
