Definitions and Concepts • Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (WHO). • Health is a state of balance between various internal factors that govern operations of the body and mind, taking into consideration being in harmony or balance with the external environment. Definitions and principles of management • Management is the process of getting work done through others, provided that it done properly, on time, and within the available resources to accomplish the organization goals or objectives. • Management as process consists of achieving organizational goals through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling human and physical resources.
