Course Description:Thecourseincludesastudyoftechniquesofintegration, selected topics in an-
alytic geometry, polar coordinates, sequences and series, parametric equations, indeterminate forms,
and application of the denite integral. The course is the second of a three course sequence.

Attendance Policy: In order to obtain credit for a course a student must attend at least 85% of
the contact hours for a particular course. However, the instructor may allow a student to complete
the course based on the students documented circumstances and his or her progress in the course.
The instructor may withdraw any student from the course if the student misses more than 15% of
the scheduled class sessions and activities.
Attendance is generally taken at the start of each class meeting. If you are tardy to class, please let
the instructor know at the end of class so that she does not mark an absence for the day.
Stipulations for making up work and exams missed during instructor-excused absences are discussed
under the section Make-Up Policy.

Academic Dishonesty: The EFSC Student Handbook is accessible from the EFSC homepage. It
denes Academic Dishonesty as: Cheating, plagiarism and any other misrepresentation of work are
prohibited. Students who are found to be in violation of this standard may receive severe sanctions
including a failing grade in their respective course and, depending on the circumstances, possible
expulsion from Eastern Florida State College.
Copying from solutions manuals, other students papers, or using the internet to do your work is
academic dishonesty. If there is clear evidence that a violation has taken place, you will receive a
zero for that assignment grade. A second violation will automatically fail the course. For more in-

Religious Observances: When the observance of a students religious holiday(s) interferes with at-
tendance in class, class work assignments, examinations, or class activities, the student must notify
the instructor in writing within the rst week of class. Students are held responsible for material
covered during their absence. The instructor will provide alternative arrangements for students to
complete the work for the missed session for approved religious observances. Students excused for
religious observances will be expected to meet the class requirements for those days without undue
delay.
Nationally recognized religious holidays shall be acknowledged plus any signicant day of religious
observance as recognized by the highest governing body of that particular religious faith. Students
may be required to provide information or proof the religious holiday if such holiday is not gen-

Important Student Resources:
Canvas: The instructor will use Canvas to post any important announcements pertaining to the
course. Various learning resources will also be posted as well e.g. Supplementary Lecture Notes,
Review Materials, etc. Through Canvas the student will be able view graded assignments. However
Final Exam scores & Final Grades will not be posted in Canvas. The student shall disregard the
grading scheme used in Canvas.
Learning Lab:TheLearningLabisacomprehensiveresourcecenterthatprovidesacademicsupport
to students. There is a learning lab located on each campus. Services available include:
