The Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership Proudly Announces
Inaugural Hall of Fame Induction
This event recognizes individuals and organizations who have demonstrated outstanding
servant leadership.
(South Orange, New Jersey – August 29, 2022) The Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership at
Seton Hall University is pleased to announce its inaugural Servant Leader Hall of Fame Induction. The
ceremony and reception will recognize high-profile individuals and organizations that are committed to
the well-being of others, resulting in benefits to individuals, communities, organizations and society more
broadly.
The 2022 Hall of Fame inductees are:
• Val Ackerman, Commissioner, Big East Conference – Servant-Leader Exemplar
• Kassidy Walters, Ripon College – Servant-Leader Youth Exemplar
• Milwaukee School of Engineering – Servant-Led Organization
• St. Joseph’s Health – Servant-Led Organization
• TDIndustries – Servant-Led Organization
• EMC Insurance Companies – Servant-Led Organization
• Jack Lowe, Jr., Chairman Emeritus, TDIndustries – Legacy Honor
• Richard Pieper, Sr., Chairman Emeritus, PPC Inc. – Legacy Honor
• Seton Hall University – Legacy Honor
Awardees will be recognized at the Center’s ceremony and reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on October 18,
2022, at Bethany Hall, Seton Hall University, located at 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, New
Jersey 07079.

About the Greenleaf Center: Established in 1964 by its namesake, Robert K. Greenleaf, the Greenleaf
Center is a non-profit organization working to promote the awareness, understanding and practice of
servant leadership. Through his seminal 1970 essay, The Servant as Leader, Greenleaf launched the
modern movement of servant leadership, challenging the traditional hierarchical approach to leadership
by placing the primary emphasis on the well-being of others. Since 2019, the Center has been housed on
the South Orange, New Jersey campus of Seton Hall University. Greenleaf maintains its independence and
501(c)(3) status, while benefiting from the University’s rich tradition of service and preparing students to
be leaders in a global society. The Center's signature programs include the Greenleaf Online Academy,
Greenleaf Research Scholars, the Coffee With Webinar Series, Next Generation Initiative and Robert K.
