Prologue
Welcome to the 4th issue of the Nestlé Health Science Scientific Publications
Compendium.
Nestlé Health Science is a leader in the field of nutritional science, committed
to redefining the management of health. As an innovative health science
company, we strongly believe in leveraging and investing in leading-edge
science in order to improve quality of life and provide clinical and health
economic value. Our aim is to maximize the role of nutrition in empowering
healthier lives.
This year Nestlé Health Science marks its 10-year anniversary. Since its creation,
it has contributed to building solid scientific evidence of nutrition’s role in
supporting a healthy life and as an integrated part of disease management.
In 2020, Nestlé Health Science contributed to and supported a large number of
scientific publications covering a broad spectrum of clinical conditions. The
present booklet summarizes these publications. Also included are contributions
from the scientific community which were not specifically sponsored by Nestlé
Health Science but are also relevant within the field, as well as some recent
related guidelines.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the experts involved in this
work, namely scientists, healthcare professionals, institutions and Nestlé
Health Science colleagues. Our meaningful scientific partnership will positively
impact patients’ and consumers’ lives.
We do hope that you will find the compendium of great interest!
Best regards on behalf of the Nestlé Health Science Medical Affairs community,
Anette Järvi, R.D. Ph.D.
