       The UPPSC syllabus is the most important component of the PCS preparation.  It has got a broad syllabus 
       and  candidates  must  prepare  the current affairs and news as well. Each year, the Uttar Pradesh Public 
       Service  Commission  conducts  the  Uttar  Pradesh  Combined  State  /  Upper  Subordinate  Exam  to  recruit 
       candidates for public service officers. This is also known as the PCS exam. PCS is a provincial civil services 
       exam. The UPPSC PCS examination of 2020 is scheduled. The preliminary exam is to be conducted on the 
       11th of October and the mains exam is to be conducted on the 22nd of January, 2021. Each year the UP PCS 
       examination is carried out for the various posts of civil servants. PCS is an administrative civil service under 
       Group A of the Executive Branch of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. To know the syllabus of the UPPSC

       UPPSC PCS Exam pattern  
       Stage-I Preliminary Examination. 
       Here is the exam pattern for UPPSC PCS Prelims examination:

          ● The Stage 1 of the examination will have multiple choice questions. 
          ● For paper 1, every right answer will be given 1.33 marks.  
          ● For paper 2, every right answer will be given 2 marks. 
          ● For every wrong answer, ⅓ marks will be deducted. 
       Stage-II Mains Examination. 
       Candidates  who  qualify  in  the  preliminary  exam  will  be eligible for the mains examination. In the below

           ● The UPPSC PCS mains examination will have subjective questions. 
               
       Stage III- Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE)  
       The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for 
       general  awareness,  intelligence,  character,  expression  power/personality  and  general  suitability  for  the 
       service. The total marks for this stage is 100 marks.

       Stage-I Preliminary Examination 
       The prelims consist of two papers, the details of both the papers are given below.  
        
       Paper 1: 
       General Studies -1  
       Total Marks: 200 marks 
        
           1. Current events of national and international importance: On Current Events of National and 
              International Importance, candidates will be expected to have knowledge 
              about them.
