Useful Links TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus-2020 1 Useful Links TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2020 TNPSC Group 2 syllabus for 2020 has been released by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission along with the notification for re- cruitment in various posts under Group 2 and 2A. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) holds the exam of Combined Subor- dinate Services Exam-II, commonly known as Group 2 exam, every year for the selection of candidates to fill the vacancies available in various government offices across the state of Tamil Nadu. The posts are both executive and non-executive such as Mandal Revenue Officer, Senior Accountant, Senior Auditor, Assistant Section Officer, Excise Sub-Inspector, Municipal Commissioner Grade-III, etc. This year, there are almost 3000 posts available for which the application process will begin in May, and the exam will commence from August 2020. While Group 2 consists of interview posts, Group 2A consists of non-interview posts. The TNPSC Group 2 syllabus mainly tests the general abilities, reasoning, and mental ability skills of the candidates, along with their proficiency in English and Tamil. The details of the TNPSC Group 2 syllabus, exam pattern and eligibility are provided below. TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2020- For Prelims and Mains The TNPSC Group 2 exam syllabus is common for all the posts. Also, one requires a basic understanding of Tamil before applying for the post. The TNPSC Group 2 exam is held in 2 stages: 1. Preliminary Test: This test covers the sections of general knowledge and current affairs, general English and Tamil, and Mental ability and Aptitude. 2. Main Test: This exam is held to test your abilities and comprehension of English and Tamil languages. The paper has ques- tions based on translation, comprehension, and writing skills.
