                WMed faculty embraces a format-neutral environment where learners select the medium that best meets their learning preference. 
                Therefore, students will be responsible for acquiring required textbooks and given the following options, purchasing or renting an 
                online digital textbook from VitalSource, a print textbook from a third-party bookseller or rental, or accessing the book through the 
                library’s online collection, when available.  Required textbooks support the delivery of curricular content identified by the faculty to 
                facilitate a balanced, chronological presentation of new material to the learner. 
                 
                For the Medical First Responder course, taught in the Transitions to Medical School, all students must individually rent the required 
                textbook from VitalSource

                  Foundation (NDLSF). Thus, students should not individually purchase either subscription prior to the start of the academic year.
