Grant County Futures Scholarship 2022 – 2023 Offered by the Grant County College Advisory Board o No late or incomplete applications will be considered. o You must have been Grant County resident since April 28, 2021. o Completed applications are due at the Grant County Center on or before 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Canyon Blvd, John Day, OR 97845. o Scholarships will be awarded in May 2022 and are to be used during the 2022 – 2023 academic year. o Scholarship dollars must be applied to courses or workshops through the distance education programs of EOU and BMCC at the Grant County Center. Personal Statement Please submit a typed 250-350 word personal statement to include the following: a) Your educational and career and/or personal goals, (Please be as specific as you can.) b) What you have done so far to achieve your goals c) Why you deserve this scholarship d) Any other pertinent information you wish the committee to consider. 4. Financial Statement On a second typed page, provide the following: a) Describe your financial circumstances. b) List any other financial assistance you are receiving, including grants, loans, scholarships, employer assistance, military, etc. c) Include any other financial information that you wish the committee to consider. 5. Letters of Recommendation Include at least one, and up to two, current letters of recommendation (within the last 9 months) addressing your qualifications for this scholarship. 6. Unofficial or Official Transcripts Please include college or high school transcripts or other demonstration of previous work. All fund received will be applied to courses or workshops through the distance education programs of EOU and/or BMCC, taken through the Grant County Center.
