2. Course Description
This course studies economic aspects in education, which explains how education can function effectively and efficiently. It discusses
education as human investment. Thus, education is positioned as an industry with input, process, and output. Therefore, economics aspects
such as demand and supply, cost and benefit, turnover, and financing in education are part of the discussion It is expected that after this
course, the students will have an insight and skills in managing education to maximize surplus both at individual and institutional level.
