                                          To develop communicative language competence which 
                                          includes linguistic, pragmatic and sociolinguistic 
              Short course description:   components through reception (listening and reading 
                                          comprehension), production and interaction (speaking 
                                          and writing) as well as mediation (translation) language 
                                          skills at basic user beginner level 1.
                                          The aim of this course is to learn Hangeul, the writing 
                                          system of Korean language, and to master the basic 
                                          grammar in the aspect of written communication. 
                                          Students will learn to use the main cases of the 
                                          Korean language, polite verb and adjective 
                                          constructions in present and past tenses, to 
                                          accurately use nouns and two main numeric systems 
                                          with its enhancers for times expressions, to properly 
              Course content:             add main particles according to their function. After 
                                          the completion of the course, students will be able to 
                                          speak, understand and write simple sentences about 
                                          daily life in university and home, talk about hobbies 
                                          and describe their interests in short sentences. They 
                                          will also be able to briefly introduce themselves and 
                                          their family members, tell occupations and 
                                          nationalities, shortly describe weather, indicate 
                                          seasons and time of the date.

                   Grading and evaluating student      Colloquium - 20 %, final examination - 30%, class work -
