        The certifications listed above are recognized by Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.  However, the NIC 
        and Certified Deaf Interpreter are the only current credentials offering exams.  There are several other 
        certifications recognized by RID and a few under moratorium.  There are also a few retired certifications
