        INTRODUCTION

In recent years global citizens have become increasingly interested in learning Korean language and
culture. This short course introduces basic conversational Korean and examines the basic Korean
grammar that underpins basic Korean linguistic structure and sentences necessary for daily

        APPROACHES UNDERPINNING THE COURSE

According to Patsy Lightbown and Nina Spada (1995), “say ‘what you mean’ and mean ‘what you say’”
is important to learn the second language learning practices. Interaction in learning language is crucial
to improve learner’ language in classroom teaching situations. Practical application with grammatical
awareness for communicative competence will enhance the linguistic capabilities of second language
        learner.

Further Language development specifies 5 linguistic learning approach:

Second Language Learning requires continual practice.
Second Language Learning is a means to communicate.
Second Language Learning is a means to deliver your own intentions.
Second Language Learning is a means to change your life.
        Second Language Learning is experimental.
